Habitat for Humanity

In partnership with Habitat for Humanity, in August 2004 we began construction of a new home for a family of seven on North Wheatland Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. This family includes Angelia and her six children: Tequanna (14), Tyrisha (11), Sha-twan (10), Angelia (7), Erle (5) and Erin (1). In February 2005 we completed building a four bedroom, two-story home for this large family.
We were delighted to have Congresswoman Deborah Pryce and her staff join us in mission this past year.
Hilliard Adopt-A-House applied for this build in early May 2004. Construction began on Angelia's home in mid-August, was completed in February and was dedicated on March 13, 2005.
One hundred and eighty-nine different volunteers participated in this mission 599 times for a total of 2,973 hours. Click on a link below to see photo album pages from each month of our project.
